Oh Yeah!

I'd amassed quite an impressive number of points through my credit card rewards programs so I decided to cash in. This is what I ended up getting:

AeroGarden!
Even if you've never had a green thumb, you’ll be able to produce a lush, beautiful garden with ease, right in your own home. The Aero Garden makes it easy, providing you with everything you need – including the ideal climate. Not only will the computerized system remind you to add water and nutrients, it will also automatically adjust their delivery and flow, as well as turn grow lights on and off to simulate the sun. And there's no dirt involved, either – just water and air. You'll enjoy the ease and satisfaction of indoor organic gardening, all year long! Includes 1 Gourmet Herbs Seed Kit.
I'm seriously so excited about this. I know it's really dorky (especially when I could have gotten gift cards) but I love the idea of having fresh herbs to use at home. Plus, hopefully my herbs will make it despite my black thumb. People, I've killed a cactus before.

It's available at Bed, Bath and Beyond too for around $50 from what I recall.

I'll let you know if it's worth it in about three months or so (herbs gotta grow).

Movie & DVD Reviews

The Jane Austen Book Club
I really liked this movie. Overall it's light and fun; it's a good girls day out type of film. Huge Dancy is adorable as dorky Grigg and, I must say, he is my favorite character.

Darwin Awards
Ughhhhhhh. This much-hyped indie film was just stupid and weird. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen but it was one of those movies that tries too hard to be clever and unique. Watch at your own risk.

Heroes
I'm not a big fan of fantasy, sci-fi etc. but I'm hooked on Heroes. I've only watched the first two discs of the first season, but it's definitely interesting and innovative (to me). I have high hopes that it'll continue to hold my interest.
