Happy Monday Bizzles.
Friday
After work, went to a local bar/pool hall for Happy Hour. I must say, I hate that place. I think it is yet another sign that I am an old fart. The music is so loud that you're deaf and hoarse by the time you leave. My co-workers are always fun so that makes up for it.
Went to on of my favorite places on earth: Target. I bought a new shirt-dress thingie for $16.99. I'll wear it tomorrow or Wednesday I think. I'm saving it for when B-Diddy and Va Jay Jay are in the office.
Saturday
Slept in until 10am! Went to Old Navy to exchange some PJ bottoms and use up a $5-off coupon. I got a new pair of jeans that I probably wouldn't normally purchase, but it was on sale so after my $5 coupon, they were less than $13! I picked out a new pair of jeans for Allen too since I had an extra coupon. Maybe you peeps should rip out the coupons in Glamour and Lucky.
Tried to go watch Last Kiss at AMC but we forgot that we can't use our discount tickets for special engagements at AMC (at Pacific Theaters you can use them for matinees). So...that was a waste of time. Went home and watched Lucky Number Slevin - do not waste your time, ugh.
Sunday
(SKIP THIS SECTION IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT LAST KISS)
Went to watch Last Kiss at the Pacific Theater. I was SO looking forward to this movie. The soundtrack has two of my favorite artists on it so I figured it has to be a good movie right? I loved Garden State so I was expecting Zach Braff to be good. It was directed by Tony Goldwyn, the villain in Ghost who gets impaled by the broken window/huge shard of glass and is then chased by little shadow-demons. Carl....oh Carl. Based on all those things, I had high expectations and the movie fell short. I think there were too many plot lines so you didn't really connect with any of characters. From the trailer, you think it's more about the Zach Braff, Jacinda Barret, Rachel Bilson characters, but it's really not. It's more about Zach and three buddies facing turning 30. One of the buddies is SUPER annoying. His personality in the movie is bad enough, but the actor has a nasaly voice that only adds to your irritation. All in all, I give it 6.5 stars - wait for DVD if you still want to see it.
After the movie, I headed over to my sister's house to visit the kids. Mimi was adorable as usual. She gave me a big hug ("Aunt Jenny, BIG HUG!") and kiss when I got in. AND she handed me my favorites out of the Japanese cracker dish ("Here you go, Aunt Jenny") - how cute is that? Kiki is growing bigger by the day and his face is getting chubby ("Baby chubby cheeks!"). He's hit the 6-8 week fussy stage so we took turns holding him all day.
After Mimi went to bed, we played a round of Apples to Apples. It's a fun game - try it.

zach braff sucks.
yup, i said it.
I knew it was you spam.
I've never seen Last Kiss and, God-willing, I never will, but I have a rating for it. My rating is: Negative infinity.
I heard Zach Braff has been advocating the next stingray holocaust.
And I also heard that he's a bad driver.
And he's also a big bell pepper.
spam, you have an unfounded dislike for zach braff. Garden State was so cute!
VJJ - yes, just like Little Twin Stars! Of course, it's just their nicknames and I think i have to stop calling him Kiki b/c it's just a tad girly.
zach braff is a bell pepper.
Um, can y'all leave my Zach alone?!
He's a grade A bell pepper in my book. Note: I LOVE bell peppers.
