We've been experiencing a brutal cold snap in LA the past week or so and my lips are taking the brunt of the punishment. They're cracked and chapped and peeling and just gross in general.
So at the Fresh store i saw this Sugar Lip Treatment and thought, hmm...how expensive could it be (no price tag, which should have been a giant clue). I figure, you know, I rarely buy luxurious items for myself. I shop at Target, paint my own nails, never get facials or massages - I should be able to afford a nice lip "treatment." In fact, I tell myself, I deserve it.
I take my purchase up to the counter where the sales girl is blabbering on about how great the product is and how she's going throw in some free samples of their other Sugar products. Then she casually says, "Okay, Miss, that'll be $24.36."
WTF??? What effectively boils down to my chapstick is now costing me nearly $25!! I was too shocked to do anything but hand over my credit card. Plus, really, how lame would i have looked if I said, "Uh...you know, nevermind. I don't want that anymore." Now i can just feel lame in private every time I slick this stuff on. On the bright side, it does smell nice (like lemon pound cake - hint, hint VJJ) and it moisturizes well. I'll let you know if I decide it's worth purchasing again.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU BOUGHT IT!!!
Dear Jen, (for the second freaking time),
It was FRESH. Of COURSE their lip balm stick thingie would be $25. But the thing is, you'll prob have the most kissable lips in this office. Er...that may not be so good, considering all the weirdos who might be compelled to plant their lips on yours because they look oh-so-soft. But whatev. Don't listen to Pam. Love your lips, lose the guilt.
Jenn, post weekend pics. That should be thrilling.
